The DSE9130 5 Amp 12 Volt battery charger was chosen for a recent United Kingdom leisure boat project. The application required the boats to be able to run on battery power while under way and, when moored at the jetty, to switch to the mains electricity at the jetty both to charge the battery and to provide power.

This system allows boat users to moor at the jetty and leave the boat for shopping, dining or other outings, returning without any concern about a flat battery.
