One of the largest shirt manufacturers in China’s Guangdong province is located in Dongguan. The factory has high-volume sales worldwide. An existing PCC paralleling system was already running at the factory, providing continuous power, but this system needed to be upgraded due to problems with the automatic load demand.
Following close collaboration with the panel manufacturer, DSE distributor CECL won the contract to replace the 11-set system with DSE5510 control units. The engine specifications were as follows: 4 x Cummins KTA19 (400Kw), 1 x Cummins KTA38 (800Kw) and 6 x Cummins KTA50 (1120Kw). The upgraded system was required to provide emergency power as a backup to a newly installed mains supply; however, it was also required to operate during the planned power cuts that last one to two days a week.
The system is now complete and is operating successfully; CECL provided on-site technical support for 30 days following commissioning.
