MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A.) is a privately owned company and is today one of the world’s leading shipping lines. Recently named Best Ocean Carrier of 2007, the shipping company has a fleet of 360 container vessels.
Under a recently completed 2-year project, DSE’s Italian distributor, Bruno Srl., supplied MSC with generating sets for continuous power supply applications on cargo ships across the fleet. In addition to Cummins engines, the sets used DSE5310 Auto Start, DSE5320 Auto Mains Failure and DSE5510 synchronisation systems.
