A leading supplier of high-quality concrete in Staffordshire, England, recently installed the DSEE800 Engine Control module on a waste cement collection vehicle. Serving the residential, commercial and industrial sectors, the vehicle can collect up to 3 tonnes of surplus cement three to four times a day from various points across the county of Staffordshire and bring it back for recycling and resale.
The mixer runs on a conventional Perkins engine powered by an on-board power pack featuring the DSEE800 module, which provides advanced engine protections and speed limiting functions. This is the first vehicle of its kind, and the company is extremely pleased with how the project is progressing.
The vehicle is now operating at full capacity and making a valuable contribution to ‘green’ efforts in Staffordshire. A further vehicle is planned to be commissioned by the end of the year.
