Pakistan’s largest fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company, and one of the largest multinationals operating in the country, today runs six factories at different locations across Pakistan. Producing continuously and in high volumes, the company requires an uninterrupted power supply to prevent unplanned stoppages that lead to lost production and waste. In line with the requirement for an uninterrupted power solution, five diesel and gas generator sets were installed at the factory to support the mains supply, while DSE distributor Pyramid Automation worked together with the company to improve the system with DSE86XX MKII series synchronisation control modules.
Now successfully commissioned, the system provides synchronisation, load sharing and soft transfer between the five generators and the mains supply. The DSE modules also provide advanced web-based remote control and monitoring via the DSE890 WebNet® Gateway, enabling the company to manage its assets from a central or remote location.
