A major textile manufacturer operating in the city of Chiniot, Pakistan, brings together the strength of more than 4,000 employees at its state-of-the-art production facility. The company carries out high-volume fabric exports across the world. In 2014, DSE distributor Pyramid Automation provided automatic control technology at the power centres and delivered synchronisation between a diesel generator and the mains using DSE86xx series control modules.
The successful commissioning of the synchronised system led to a further improvement in 2015; all five generators were successfully synchronised with the mains, and additional advanced monitoring and control was provided via DSE SCADA communications.
Pyramid Automation used DSE’s PLC Logic function to interface with the Jenbacher generator sets and provide custom functions; it also incorporated a DSE2152 analogue expansion module into the system to help meet the application’s complex demands.
